Selected Works
Explore a curated selection of works that trace the breadth of Rivera’s practice, from recent paintings of Dublin and County Wicklow to earlier works from Oxford and the United States. Across these different places and periods, recurring themes of memory, landscape, architecture and belonging emerge, alongside an interest in the atmosphere of everyday spaces and the experience of encountering Ireland through the eyes of a relative newcomer. The selection also reflects Rivera’s evolving use of materials, including his recent work on copper, where the surface itself becomes part of the play of light and luminosity.
