Rivera’s Dublin works explore the city through its streets, buildings and the everyday journeys that connect them. From familiar pubs and late-night venues to railway platforms, buses and the spaces in between, he is drawn to the places that become part of a city’s shared memory. As a recent arrival to Ireland, Rivera approaches Dublin with the curiosity of an outsider while becoming increasingly attentive to its rhythms, architecture and changing character. These paintings are less about documenting the city exactly than capturing its atmosphere — the fleeting light, movement and human presence that give ordinary urban spaces their identity.
